Cheryl Ann Doppler, 69 of Valparaiso, Indiana passed away Monday, July 27, 2020. She was born July 28, 1950 in Hammond, Indiana to George and Anna (Lusciak) Fultman and graduated from Hammond Technical Vocational High School in 1968 and was active in sports and majorettes. Cheryl was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church since 1986. She was a talented beautician, floral designer, and was involved with both Valparaiso High School and Hayes-Leonard Elementary. Cheryl was a loyal servant of God, a loving and supportive mother, a devoted wife of 47 years, loving daughter and caretaker of her mother, and proud grandmother whose caring touch and warm embraces will endure through the lasting memories she has made with everyone she knew. She will always be remembered for her selfless and giving nature, her sense of humor, and her fierce love and loyalty to her family and America. On June 2, 1973 she married James E. Doppler who survives along with their children, Jill (David) Mapes of Franklin, Tennessee, Joe (Julie) Doppler of Rochester, Minnesota, Amanda Doppler of Valparaiso, Indiana, and Lindsey Doppler de Gonzalez (Carlos Gonzalez) of Valparaiso, Indiana. her siblings, George (Jane) Fultman, Krysty (Bill) Sudol, Randy (Vicki) Fultman, Linda Fultman, and Duane Fultman, her grandchildren, Grahm, Alexandria and Tristan Mapes, Alexander, Kyle and Brielyn Doppler, and Salva and Valencia Gonzalez, many nieces and nephews, as well as many loving family members recently discovered in Poland. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private family visitation was held at Moeller Funeral Home in Valparaiso. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans and Vietnam Veterans of America.
