Cherri Brodsky Fox was a devoted mother of two daughters, a son, and a loving grandmother of two grandchildren. Cherri passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the age of 76 after a courageous battle with cancer in Peoria, IL. She was surrounded by her family who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives with Cherri’s spirit always with them.

She was born on October 23, 1945, in Abilene, TX to Phillip and Laverne (Beaney) Brodsky. Cherri is survived by her children, Nick Fox (Amanda Arguello) and Magy Kramer (Matt), grandchildren, Lucy Kramer and Isaac Kramer, brothers, Jeff Brodsky and Steve Brodsky (Laura), former husband, Jim Fox (Chen), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother and daughter Jennifer Fox.

Cherri graduated from Cleveland Heights High School and completed her bachelor’s degree at McMurry University in Abilene. After teaching for a few years in Wichita she moved with Jim (who she met at the YMCA Camp Wood in Elmdale, KS) and daughter Jennifer to St Louis where Magy was born and later moved to Dallas where Nick was born. In Dallas, Cherri was a mother to many others when she opened her home for childcare and after moving to Omaha, later retired from Goodwill. When her grandchildren were born, she moved to Atlanta and then Peoria to help take care of them.

For Cherri it was always family first. She lived her life for her family teaching them to be kind, be healthy, be grateful and always be smiling. Her pleasant personality and strength were contagious to everyone she met.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held on July 1, 2022, at Prairie Hill Vineyard located 8 miles west of Wichita
