Cherie's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Cherie Olson, who unexpectedly passed away on March 15, 2024. Born on June 13, 1947, in Jackson, Tennessee, to the late Truman Gregory Glasscock and Julia Brooks, Cherie was a devoted wife to her late husband Alan B. Olson, Sr., and a loving mother to her children Janie Romans, Rod Foster, Don (Bo) Foster, Jr, and Alan B. Olson, Jr. She adored her grandchildren Nathan Foster, Wilson Foster, Luke Foster, and Emmie Olson. Cherie was cherished by everyone who took the time to get to know her, and she was indeed one of a kind.
Cherie's cheerful spirit, infectious laughter, and high-spirited energy will be remembered most. Her life was marked by her unwavering love for her children and grandchildren, which she was immensely proud of, and her continuous ability to overcome and exceed through life's many challenges and obstacles.
Cherie had a broad range of talents, making it seem easy to pick up something new and master it. She was an athlete and avid weightlifter, a superior sketch and paint artist, a Native American jewelry creator, and a skilled horseback rider, to name just a few. She was passionate about learning something new and taking on the challenges that come with it.
In the final months of her life, Cherie accepted Jesus into her heart as her Savior and guiding Presence. Take comfort in knowing that Cherie has found peace and encourage all those who knew her to remember the joy and laughter she brought into this world.
Cherie's legacy will forever be carried on by her surviving children and grandchildren, who cherish the memory of her steadfast love and unceasing support. We will forever miss her nurturing presence and cherish our memories of her.
Mom, aka Granny Rie, we'll love you forever and see you again someday...
