Chase's obituary
Chase “Tactik” Gomez / June 27, 1983 – March 20, 2025
Chase Ryan Gomez, beloved son, brother, nephew, friend, and creative force, passed away peacefully on March 20th, 2025, at 41. He lived courageously with a seizure disorder for over two decades, and although his passing was unexpected, he left this world doing what he loved, creating.
As a passionate artist and music producer, Chase had an unmatched talent for chopping samples, flipping old vinyl into something new, and breathing life into every beat he touched. He constantly created, evolved, and explored new ways to express himself, not for recognition, but because that was who he was. Music was his soul, and his body of work is a powerful testament to the life he poured into every track.
Beyond his artistic gifts, Chase possessed a brilliant mind; he was a computer whiz, a skateboarder, a curious thinker, and an eternal student of life. Conversations with Chase were never surface-level; he dug deep and always left you with something to ponder.
Since his passing, the outpouring of love from family, old friends, and collaborators has been overwhelming. It’s become clear just how many lives he touched. His spirit lives on in every beat, every story, and every soul he inspired.
A celebration of Chase’s life will be held on May 18th, 2025, at Magee Park in Carlsbad, CA, where friends and family will gather to honor the legacy he leaves behind, not just in music but in love and unapologetic creativity.
Rest easy, Chase.
