Joan Meyer Goudy

Joan Meyer Goudy is the daughter of Marie Helmbecht and Otto Meyer. Marie was the governess of Charlton (see 1930 census). Joan and her parents attended Charlton's wedding to Mr. Campbell when Joan was seven. Joan's parents remained close friends with Charlton's mother. More recently, Joan and her friend met with Charlton and her family. Charlton remarked: "Marie was like a mother to me".
