Charlotte Greaves was an exceptional woman and an extraordinary teacher. She delighted in her students, which was evident every time you spoke with her. She believed that every student is gifted and it is the responsibility of the parents and teachers to identify that gift and then nurture it. She taught both of my children at Vanderlyn Elementary and was the best teacher either one had. She believed in them and allowed them to show her their unique abilities. Her approach gave them confidence in themselves and the ability to succeed in their endeavors. We will be forever grateful that Charlotte Greaves was their teacher

  • It is with the deepest shock and sympathy I hear about one of my family’s favorite teacher and mentor. I remember her caring so much about her third grade class and the inferior literature offered for their intellect. After purchasing the literature she requested, she entertained us at her home for lunch!  Keith, I pray you are remembering all the precious memories and know that you were all the joy in her heart.   You are in my thoughts and prayers❤️  Sandy Cooper and family…Chandler, Conrad, Creighton,  Grace Caroline

Oh, Keith, I was so sorry to see your Mom passed away. We enjoyed so many afternoons chatting as we waited for the Woodward bus to arrive. Please accept the condolences of our whole family.

Our thoughts are with you during your time of sorrow. Our deepest sympathy for your loss.  "Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog"

Such a beautiful spirit and life well lived.

Condolences to the entire family, and Keith Anthony, take good care.

Keith, I was so sorry to read of your mother’s death in the AJC online this morning.  I wasn’t sure it was your mother until I saw the beautiful picture of you two.  I hope you remember me as your principal at the Primary School at Woodward.  I am sure you are now a fine young man.  Sending love and sympathy to you.
Condolences to all of Charlotte's family. I didn't see much of Charlotte since we each moved to Atlanta, but we were as thick as thieves in Jr High and High School. We were also birthday twins as we called ourselves even though she was a year younger, but both our birthdays were August 13. So we often did something special. I can remember the sleep overs at her house where we would sneak outside and smoke cigarettes. In fact, I have lots of memories, most much more positive than that one such as we both made the cheerleading squad the same year--she for JV and I for Varsity. We had such fun and so many wonderful memories. We were FB friends also and most of our communication in the past few years was on FB and the phone. I really wish we had done more in-person interacting. Still, we both did well and I will miss my birthday twins' presence on the planet. May the arms of God and all the ancestors open wide to receive her.

I’m so sad  about Charlotte's passing. She was more than a Sister-in-law, she was my friend.  I have so many lovely memories of our times together!  The world has lost a shining star. Charlotte was a very special person and she will be missed.

Keith, we were very saddened to hear about your mother passing away.  She was always so kind and caring of our 3 sons, as you also have been, as they navigated through Vanderlyn Elementary. She will be truly missed.
Keith,
We were heartbroken to hear about your Mom's passing. After Lilly and Leah graduated from all - Vanderlyn, PCMS and Dunwoody HS, I would think about Charlotte and wonder how she was doing. I was lucky to run into her a few times at the grocery store and we would catch up on the latest news in our lives. We will always love her, and remember her wonderful and infectious laughter. She was one in a million and I am beyond grateful for all she has done for my family. We are blessed to have known your Mom, and Keith, I hope you find some peace today as we will keep you in our prayers during this difficult time.
Joan, Bill, Lilly and Leah Schmaltz
