Charlie's obituary
Charlie Morring, Jr. passed away peacefully in his home in Savannah, Ga. He will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor, kind heart, outgoing spirit, and the joy he brought to every life he touched.
Charlie, son of Charlie Morring, Sr and Marianne (Turner) Morring was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and moved to Washington, D.C. and Maryland, where he built a life filled with love and laughter alongside his wife, Eva (Cuthbertson) Morring. In his later years, he made his home in Savannah, Georgia, where he enjoyed a quieter pace and the warmth of Southern life.
Charlie’s greatest pride and joy were his children — Charlie (Moochie) Morring, III., Tyrus (Ty) Morring (daughter-in- law Lisa Scott-Morring), Lesa Morring, Angel Morring — who will forever carry forward his humor, compassion, and strength. He was also a proud grandfather to Tyrus Morring Jr. (deceased), Shaquan Robinson and Jabari Robinson, Darion Morring, Aiden and Jaiden Thomas, Chanel and Terrence (Mo) Barnes, Wanye Johnson, and a loving great-grandfather to Levi Barnes.
A private memorial ceremony will be held with his children, where they will gather to celebrate his life and scatter his ashes in a place that held deep meaning to him.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and support shown during this time. Friends and loved ones are invited to share their memories and photos of Charlie so that his light, laughter, and legacy may continue to live on through the stories of those he touched.
