My husband and I graduated from BMA with Chip and in April we reunited for our 50th reunion! It was great for the gang to spend a few hours together to reminisce and reconnect. What a shock to hear of his passing. We are so sorry for his family and friends. We look forward to the next reunion when Jesus returns!

Chip and Barbette were some first few couples. I met while attending BAC. I remember his smile, thoughtfulness and always will to assist the church any way he could. My heart goes out to Barbette and family.

We have known Chip for over 40 years. Everyone is talking about what a nice guy Chip is, and all we can do is agree with that. He always made us feel welcome, not just we adults but our girls as well. We lost touch in recent years, but we never stopped thinking of Chip as a friend. Memories of Chip are always accompanied by a smile. We look forward to meeting you again, our friend.

Chip was such a good person. He was always friendly and kind. I knew him from church first and then work. He always had a kind word, funny story and was genuinely caring. One of the things I will always remember about him was he told me once that he likes to have dessert first so that he would always have room for it. He will be missed but what a day it will be when Jesus comes again and we are reunited with our loved ones.

Chip was a wonderful Christian gentleman. I enjoyed hearing him laugh. He had a delightful sense of humor! He was a great supervisor and a kind friend. He took really good care of us in the General Conference building. My condolences to the family! We miss Chip! We will see him again in the earth made new!

Chip lived by loving God and loving people. Finding God, as the ultimate lover of mankind spurred him to outgrow childish ideas of a God who needed to kill to obtain justice, an idea he, and so many of us grew up believing. He saw the cross as demonstration of God’s love, not a payment. If you talked to Chip in the last ten years, you certainly heard that idea. He also honored God by loving people, his “passion” as Rileigh quoted in her obituary. Think of the last time you talked to him. You were either eating something good, playing a game, hiking, tubing, laughing at a colorful story, or doing a job that he chipped in to help you complete. The fun he, Barbette and the kids shared with us was never ending . He was always there to encourage us, to lighten our load and to create an arms -fully opened warm place for us. We will miss his charm and laughter until we see him again.
