Chuck’s life began May 31, 1969 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He was a lifetime area resident with a fondness for fixing cars. He worked for different mechanics including Hartford Automotive and R & B. Chuck was also handy at dry-walling. In his spare time Chuck enjoyed putting model cars together, drawing, and especially fishing.

Chuck’s greatest joy was spending time with his loving family he leaves behind including: his partner of 33 years Beth Mosher; three children Jessica Watkins, Charles Watkins Jr., and Shannon Arndt; three grandchildren Jordan Margiotta, Jessa’Lynne Watkins, and Skylar ; a brother George (Renell) Watkins; and a niece Karissa Treder.

Chuck died Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He is preceded in death by his parents George Watkins and Hazel (Grannell) Watkins. Friends may visit with Chuck’s family Thursday, December 9, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet. Visitation will be followed by a graveside service at North Shore Memory Gardens in Hagar Shores. Memorials may be made to Chuck’s family. You are invited to leave a message of comfort for Chuck’s family.
