Charles's obituary

Charles was born on May 21, 1959, in Abilene, Texas and was son to Richard and Sara Scherperel. He was the eldest brother to Sean and Aaron Scherperel, and grew up in Kingsville, Texas.

Charles was known as a good friend, yogi, great storyteller, hard worker, and giving father. His personality brought joy and laughter to everyone he encountered, and he loved playing pranks on people! He was extremely talented with drafting in the engineering field and traveled the world leading many projects that are still drilling to this day. He is survived by his three children Sarita, Sophie, and Mechie who he helped provide for and whom he always talked about. Charles loved his three grandchildren: Dariah, Penelope and Chloe and was known to share with them his sweet tooth and dance moves. He loved playing cards, watching movies, outdoor adventures, and had a passion for going out into the Gulf of Mexico with his kids and casting their poles. Much can be said of his charisma, charm, and smile when telling his adventurous stories.

Although this story didn’t have the ending anyone wanted, his family carries his charisma, work ethic, and adventurous spirit in their hearts. Charles, like all of us, had regrets but was deeply loved and will be sorely missed. Rest in peace hard worker, you deserve it.
