Charles's obituary

Charles Thomas Rothwell Jr., age 71, passed away on June 18, 2018. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on January 7, 1947. He lived the majority of his life in Indianapolis, but was a resident of Anderson, Indiana, at the time of his death.

Charles is survived by his three beloved children: Chad, Melanie, and Misty. He was grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by both parents, Charles Sr. and Helen M., and a sister, Darlene. His surviving siblings are Beverly, Diana, and David.

Charles worked at Olin Brass for a time; and, also, worked for various trucking firms as an over-the-road driver until he retired. He was hard-working and very reliable in whatever job he was performing.

He was affectionately known as “Charlie” to all who knew him. This was due to his friendly nature as he had a love for people which was demonstrated by his desire to engage in conversation with everyone he met. He was a very generous person who often times helped others out in their times of need.

Charles loved creation. He found much happiness in his four little Yorkshire Terriers who were constant sources of companionship and entertainment. He enjoyed sharing stories about his “boys” (as he fondly called them) surrounding him as he sat in his recliner. He also owned a Rottweiler named Peaches who was as gentle as her name implies.

Charles will be deeply missed by all those who loved him.
