Chuck was not only a great veterinary radiologist, but a wonderful friend and colleague.  He was always great to talk to and had a wonderful gift of gab.  He will be missed by all and made a tremendous mark on veterinary medicine.  Rest in peace, Chuck

I am so sorry to hear this news. Dr. Root was the first private practice veterinary radiologist that I worked with when I started practice in1985 when I started practice in the area. In those days, he would make his rounds of veterinary practices to read films. I learned so much from his side, as he was always willing to discuss his findings. He had a fatherly manner that always put me at ease, even as a young vet. My deepest condolences to his family.
