Buddy, 52, of New Bedford, MA died unexpectedly on January 28, 2023 his passing was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.
Buddy was born on January 03, 1971 Richmond, Indiana . Buddy attended Richmond High School. After graduating high school , Buddy enlisted into the United States Army. Where he was doing communications. Buddy made the decision to not reenlist in the Army and in 1990 he made the decision to move to Brooksville, Florida so he could take care of his grandmother after his grandfather had passed away. The same year that he was in Florida Buddy was introduced to his adopted parents Albert and Gerry Saunders who Buddy admired and looked to them as they were his real parents with the upmost respect and true love that a son would have for his mother and father. Buddy looked up to his father Albert and made a decision to join the East Hernando Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter and enjoyed the fact that him and his adopted father were able to bond and have a passion they both shared together. Buddy held great respect for his adopted mother Gerry and he looked up to here and learned exactly how to be strong and how to make a house into a home. Buddy meet and married Julie his wife and had a son named Johnathan who was his entire world . Buddy always wanted to have a son that he could raise up into the man that he had become thanks to the love and guidance that he had been given by Albert and Gerry his adopted mother and father. When Johnathan was born anyone who has seen Johnathan when he was born would say he was the spiting image of Buddy and he was the twinkle in Buddy's eyes. Buddy was a proud father of his son. But it is so true that anyone who knew Buddy, knew that he was like a big goofy teddy bear who always could make anybody smile and at times have you laughing so hard you'd start crying . Buddy was kind ,very loving and caring to anybody who was granted the honor of knowing him He had an immense passion for fantasy football and Tampa Bay Buccaneers was is team Buddy was always a source of positivity and wanted to make everybody he was around happy even if he had to go without sleep just to help somebody especially his mother and father Albert and Gerry. Buddy’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say. The Lord above called home a very special angel to sit by him in heaven above and we will keep his memory alive and times spent together with Buddy fresh inside all our hearts .
