Charles's obituary

Charles Oakley, "Chaz", 60 of Anchorage, AK passed away on October 26th, 2025 surrounded by family and friends in his last hours. Charles was a super talented artist, amazing Husband, Dad, Son, Brother, Uncle and great friend to so many. Charles was an Army Veteran, Eagle Scout Leader, Mental health advocate, and art teacher. He spent his life doing what he loved; art. He was an artist at Ekimo Studios for many years. He also shared his talents with so many at the Alaska State Fair for 20 years, where he met many life long friends. He enjoyed karaoke, fishing and being one of America's worst cooks, literally proven on Worst Cooks of America. <3. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Almeda Hoffman. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Oakley (son, Stanley Pidgeon) Dad, Allen Hoffman. Sister, Lilly Vinzant (Richard Vinzant) Nephews, Zach Oakley, Lucas Oakley-Vinzant. Niece, Almeda Oakley-Vinzant and many special friends. On October 26, 2025, everyone who knew and loved Charles and friends who hadn't met him yet, lost one of the kindest, most generous humans to walk the earth. Rest easy- Always in our hearts.
