In Loving Memory of Charles Richard Nielsen

Charles Richard Nielsen, a soul cherished by many, departed from our world on December 15th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories. He was 49 years old.

Born on September 6th, 1974, at Tahoe Forest Hospital, Charles Richard Nielsen graced the world with his presence, bringing joy and warmth to the lives he touched. He was born and raised in The North Lake Tahoe Community. He grew up playing all North Tahoe Sports while making lifelong friends. His passions included, Climbing, Backpacking, Biking, Baseball, Skying diving, Snowboarding, and of course anything on big blue. The Mountains were his home, and he was very proud of it.

Charles Richard Nielsen went to school in San Francisco, but returned after to the place we all love to call home. He was a beacon of compassion, radiating kindness to everyone he encountered. He had a unique ability to make others feel seen and heard, fostering deep connections that will be cherished forever. His infectious laughter and genuine smile illuminated the darkest corners, bringing light to those fortunate enough to share in his company.

He is survived by his Father Dick and Mother Carol, his sisters Lea and Brooke, and his aunt Barbara, who will continue to carry his spirit forward with love and gratitude. Charles was a social center for his family and friends, a role that will be hard to replicate but will be carried on by family and friends in his honor.

A celebration of life for Charles Richard Nielsen will be held in the Spring of 2024. All friends, family, and well-wishers are invited to join in commemorating a life well-lived.

Charles Richard Nielsen may have left our physical world, but his memory will forever be etched in our hearts. As we grieve this profound loss, let us also celebrate the vibrant life that touched us all.
