Funny how much you can appreciate someone when it’s too late to tell them. Chuck lived so close but interactions were all too few. When I was lucky enough to catch Chuck in his front yard during one of my random excursions from my couch it always turned into an extremely fun 20 to 30 minute chat. Which always included how very proud he was of Sean, Chucky and Courtney. How his dogs were doing. So sorry for your loss he was a great bold personality I know will live on 3 fold.

My sincere condolences to the Morrison family. Chuck and I spent several years in Europe together while in the military. He was always full of life and joy to be around as a frat brother. RIP Savage Q...We shall meet again.

I still can’t believe this has happened and my heart aches for Abbie and “the kids” - all of whom I was literally thinking just of this past weekend when my son and I saw a turtle on the trail by our house. The Morrisons adopted my two baby turtles when I moved overseas with the military over 20 years ago, and so often when I see a turtle I think of them, even all these years later. I always considered Chuck and Abbie among my mom’s coolest friends - and not just because they probably were closer to me in age than to my parents, but because they are just such amazing, friendly, and fun people, and great role models. I remember several meaningful (and hilarious) conversations with Chuck about his military service, and he understood aspects of my own military service that my non-veteran parents probably never could no matter how much they would like to. I know he was an amazing husband, father, leader, citizen and fellow human being, and that he will be dearly missed by so so many whose lives he touched. I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to know him. Sending my sincerest sympathies and biggest hugs to all of you. And Chuck, wherever you are up there, I’ll think of you especially whenever I see those turtles out on the trail!
