Obituary for C. Michael Williams

C. Michael “Mike” Williams, born on March 19, 1947, passed away peacefully at home on June

25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-

grandfather, Mike was proud of his family.

Mike married the love of his life, Teresa Lea Williams, in December 1969. Together, they raised

three wonderful children: Michelle Martinez, Monika Weldon, and Mark Williams. Mike was a

proud and loving grandfather to Jessica Williams, Brittany Garcia, Cody Williams, and Logan

Williams. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Jaeden Williams, Lisabella Littleboy

Rivera, Emmett Rivera, Odin Rivera, Olivia Martin, and Penelope Martin.

Mike served his country with honor in the United States Navy, a testament to his commitment

and bravery. After his military service, he was a distinguished truck driver for 48 years, winning

competitive truck rodeos.

Mike will be deeply missed by his loving family, loyal friends, and all who knew him. His quick

wit and infectious love of humor brightened the lives of everyone around him. He was a proud

patriot and an avid collector of American flags. He also had an impressive collection of baseball

caps and coffee mugs. He was a devoted Denver Broncos fan. Mike enjoyed dancing with his

wife, playing cards with his close-knit family, fishing and hunting with great enthusiasm, and

being known affectionately as the “number one jokester.”

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at the Avenidas Funeral Chapel, 522 E. Western Ave.,

Avondale, AZ 85323, on July 6, 2024, at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that
