Charles “Chamaco” Medina

March 3, 1950 – December 4, 2022

He has been lifted into abounding Grace.

Charles was born March 3, 1950, in Denver, Colorado to Rebecca and Antonio Medina. He married his wife, Irene Howey, they were together for 40 years. Charles loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles, tinkering in his shed, drinking Busch Beer, and spending time with loved ones.

He graduated from Lincoln High School and enlisted in the Army, where he served four years in the airborne infantry. He achieved the rank of Sergeant prior to his honorable discharge. His awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Sharpshooter (Rifle), Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and the Bronze Star Medal.

He is survived by his wife, Irene, five children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A private burial service for family and close friends will occur at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Friday, December 16th, 2022, at 10 a.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW after the burial service.
