Charles Manuel, Sr., born May 7, 1950, affectionately known as "Peanut" passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025 at his residence.  Peanut, a man of great love for family and respect of neighbors, leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and dedication. He was a beacon of laughter and strength in his community, always smiling and lending a helping hand to those in need. He profoundly touched all who had the privilege to know him.

Peanut is survived by his oldest sons, Charles "Wesley" Manuel Jr. (Philadelphia , PA) and Jamal Calloway (Baltimore, MD), his nephew whom he helped raise and cared for, Marcus Payne Sr (Alisia) and his two sons Marcus Jr. and Malcolm Payne, Sister in law, Mary A. Whitley (Aunt Annette), Godmother, Ms. AnnaMae Bowles and other close friends within the community.  His presence in our lives will be sorely missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire us. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who mourn the loss of  Peanut, (Charles Wesley Manuel, Sr).
