Charles's obituary

Chuck Burch, 92, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed on from this life on April 1st, 2025. He was born August 1st, 1932 in Belmont, North Carolina. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathy [Wallace] Burch; one son, Charles “Chuck” Burch, Jr. (Lisa); granddaughter, Kelsey [Wallace] Romero; grandson, Ron Case (Kim); three great-grandchildren: Autumn Case Anderson (Alex), Austin Case, and Addison Case; and great-great-granddaughter, Mckenna Anderson. Chuck was predeceased by his daughter, Robin Laye; his step-son, Mark Wallace; and step-son, Chris Wallace.

Chuck retired from a 21 year career in the U.S. Air Force as an air traffic controller, as well as a 20 year career from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member, Elder, and Clerk of Session at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. He was the past master of Lowell Masonic Lodge, and was the past commander of American Legion Post 262, and was a member of the board of directors at Nova Credit Union.

Chuck was well known for his funny stories and being quick to crack a joke. Many will remember him for his outstanding sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.

The memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (2201 Springdale Ave., Charlotte, N.C., 28203) on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. Memorials may be sent to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.
