Charles's obituary
Charles “Charlie” Collins, age 75, entered eternal rest on January 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Family Life Center at St. Rita's Catholic Church on Thursday, January 22nd from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
Charlie was born on December 24, 1950, in Alexandria, Louisiana, to Helen Mickel Collins and Charles Collins. He spent most of his life in Cenla, where he built a life defined by hard work, loyalty, faith, and love for his family.
A devoted husband, Charlie shared 43 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Sheree Collins. Their marriage was a testament to love, commitment, and faith. He was a proud father to Cody Collins and Kylie Key (husband, Nathaniel Key), and a proud “Pop Pop” to Jude and Quinn, who brought laughter, light, and meaning to his days.
Charlie was kind, thoughtful, and deeply loving. He was full of life and joy, and those who knew him best will remember his strong presence, his generous heart, and the steady way he cared for the people he loved. His love was constant, and his absence is deeply felt.
Guided by his faith, we trust in God’s promise of eternal life and find comfort in knowing Charlie is now at peace, resting in the loving arms of our Lord. Though we grieve his loss, we are grateful for the life he lived and the love he leaves behind.
