I extend my deepest sympathy to you, Angela and you family. I was privileged to meet during our time at Wheaton College, Norton MA. Your father was my Gym teacher at Emerson School during the late 50’s. I remember Mr. Gooden as an exceptional teacher and leader.

To Angela and family
A very special sympathy to you Angela and to the family of Charles Gooden.
We are Dr. Nathaniel and Dr. Sandra Murdock. We were very good friends of the Goodens. Fran helped me Sandra earn my masters degree. Chuck was always a part of a lot of social activities that we attended and he was a wonderful friend of Nathaniel, they played golf together.
We will cherish the memories and we will always be grateful that we were able to be a friend to Charles.
Sincerely,
Nathaniel and Sandra Murdock

I met Charles when I joined the Classic 107.3 Board of Directors and interacted with him on the Youth Education Committee for many years thereafter. He was warm, generous, and energetic and a wonderful advocate for Classic 107.3 and for the Committee's programs. He will be greatly missed.

To Angela Gooden my law school classmate and family. I’m so sorry for your loss. I know what you’re going through with the loss of a beloved father. I lost my father while we were still in law school. The most single important compasses in our lives is our Father & Mother and losing one of those compasses is not easy, for with this loss comes so many layers of heartache. Please know that my heart is open to you and your family. I extend my deepest condolences and I’m so very sorry for your loss. Angela Remember your father’s sweet smile in your dreams as you sleep the pain away. He’s resting in God's arms now. God needed another soldier to add to his army above, that's why he had to go. But I promise you, he's still watching over you and your loved ones here below. Pray to the Lord to take away the sorrow, the Lord will hear your cries at night and will help you through the tomorrows. Be the best that I'm sure your father taught you to be, keep the faith and continue to allow the Lord to lead you. You will miss him more than any words can ever say, and I know the pain in your heart is so very heavy and seems so unbearable today, just remember that the Lord will make a way. Even though your load feels so heavy, and the grief so heavy you're not sure you will last, the Lord will sustain and keep you all along the way. I know you wish like I did that he could have stayed here on earth just a little while longer, because it seem that there was so much left for him to do, wondering did you pray hard enough, did your prayers get through. I know you can find relief in knowing that you will see him again one day. Walk in the footsteps that your father walked before you, seeing the path he walked will also lead you to victory. So as our fathers sleep in the cradle of the Lord, just be reassured of God's promises in his Holy Word, and dream of the day you all will be reunited as a family again on that great day. I'm praying for PEACE, STRENGTH and COMFORT for you and your family my Sister -in -Christ.

Angela and Family,
I am so, so very sorry to hear about your father's passing. I only knew your dad for a short time serving on the Our Lady of the Pillar School Board together, but what a lovely person he was. He was always the voice of reason, logic and just absolutely truly cared. He always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude that he spread to everyone. He was one of the classiest people I have ever met. He will be missed immensely.
Your family is my prayers.
Sincerely,
Mercedes Berns
