It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. Charles Givens Sr., better known as "Bob," on February 4, 2026. Born on November 10, 1930, Charles had a long, enriching life filled with family, faith, and love for the community.

Charles was the pillar of the Givens family, a beloved husband to Janice Givens, a devoted father to Charles Givens Jr. and Teresa Givens Alcantara, and an adored grandfather to Kristina Givens Rodriguez, Cody Givens, Ryan Givens, Justine Givens Erickson, Alyssa Alcantara, Jessica Alcantara, and Cassidy Alcantara. He was loved by his brother, John Edward "Jack" Givens. Charles was predeceased by his parents, Charles Roger Givens and Blanche Evelyn Mahoney, as well as his brothers, George Roger “Bud” Givens and Donald Michael “Mick” Givens.

Bob was a regular attendee of the Church of the Nazarene and his faith played a major role in his life. He found comfort in his spiritual pursuits and was a shining example of steadfast belief and commitment to his church family.

Bob was an individual with a deep love for the environment, which was reflected in his favorite pastime, gardening. He found joy in nurturing life and seeing his plants grow, a simple pleasure that brought tranquility and satisfaction to his life. He was also deeply passionate about animal welfare and had a close association with the Humane Society. His compassion extended to all living beings and is a trait that will be fondly remembered.

A memorial service honoring the life of Charles will take place on February 17, 2026, at 10:00 PM at the Pacific Crest Cemetery. In Bob's memory, donations can be made to the Humane Society, a cause very dear to his heart.
