Charles's obituary
Charles, known to everyone as David, was born on November 1st, 1944 in Memphis, TN to David and Virginia Edwards. A long time Tennessee resident, David spent his life as a truck driver for Elm Hill Meats and Nissan. A few years after retiring from the trucking business, David moved to Oklahoma to be with Dewayne and Brandy.
David was an easy going, laid back man who preferred to work with his hands, listen to country music, especially Loretta Lynn, working on cars and motors, gardening, watching westerns and wrestling, and whittling wood to make necklaces and walking sticks. David had a kind heart, never knew a stranger, and would do anything he could to help out a neighbor. He will be greatly missed by so many who knew him.
David is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. He is survived by his 5 children: Beth Wilson of Tennessee, Becky Edwards (Randy Wilson) of Alabama, Christy Richardson of Tennessee, Dewayne Edwards of Oklahoma, Brandy Milam (Misty Milam) of Oklahoma, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
David requested to be cremated, services provided by Serenity Funerals and Cremation in Tulsa, OK. He requested that his ashes be taken back to his home state of Tennessee in lieu of a burial.
