With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Charles "Ed" Mckee Jr., better known as Ed, who left us on February 23, 2024. Born on March 31, 1944, Ed lived a life rich with love, joy, and cherished moments. He was predeceased in death by his beloved parents, Charles Edward Mckee and Dolores Mckee.

Ed graduated from Las Lomas High School in 1962. Ed proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1965 to 1970. In 1972, he married his soulmate, Christine Elston Mckee, and together they taught their children the true meaning of love, family, and togetherness. Ed and Chris were blessed with two daughters, Sarah and Michele. Ed's legacy will continue to live on through his family and the valuable lessons he imparted.

Leaving behind a void that can never be filled, Ed is survived by his devoted wife Chris, and his daughters Sarah Lewis (Bobby) and Michele Solomon (Scott). His grandkids Natasha, Juli Rae, Corbin, Elijah, and Logan were his pride and joy, their achievements and adventures, were some of his favorite stories to share. Ed's siblings Carol Honeyman, Cliff Mckee, Randy Litton, his in-laws Rob Honeyman, Brenda Mckee, Mikey Litton, and many close friends, also mourn his loss.

Ed was known for his easy smile and warm personality. He was a natural storyteller, captivating friends and family during gatherings with his tales. He was also a man of many passions. He was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49'ers and enjoyed county and old-time rock-n-roll music. Among one of his favorite films was Lonesome Dove. Fishing, hiking, camping, and hunting were among his favorite pastimes.

Ed held a special place in his heart for shrimp, ribeyes, and Mom's apple pie. A lover of stout beer, he never missed an opportunity to toast a happy occasion or celebration. His favorite vacation destination was anywhere he could find himself surrounded by the serenity of the mountains.

An irreplaceable light in the lives of those who knew him, Ed was a devoted husband, loving father, doting grandfather, caring brother, and kind-hearted friend. We will remember him for his laughter, his stories, and the love he shared with us all.

A celebration of Ed's life will be held on March 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM at 1631 Booty's Crossing Road, Booty's Park, Georgetown, TX. As we share memories and stories, we will remember the man who touched our lives in so many beautiful ways.

May he find peace in the arms of his Lord and Savior and joy in the company of those who have gone before him.
