It was a joy and an honor to know Charlie Chiang. I met Jean’s dad when she and I first started middle school together. He was the most fun loving and vivacious person. He always had a smile on his face when I saw him, and a big, joyous laugh. He and Jean’s mom threw her wonderful birthday parties at their restaurant, and he was a fantastic host. He genuinely seemed happy to see you when you arrived, and made sure you were enjoying yourself throughout the evening. Even long after high school, when he threw a red egg celebration for Jean and Rock, he made a point of giving me a big hug and welcoming my husband to the party. It was always clear how terribly proud he was of Jean and how much he adored his family.

Dear Mrs. Chiang and Jean,

Tony and I were saddened to learn about Mr. Chiang’s passing. Please accept our heartfelt condolences during this challenging period. He was an extraordinary individual, and I consider myself fortunate to have known him, thinking of him as a fatherly figure here in the United States.

Reviewing the obituary and seeing the pictures you shared, countless images of his familiar faces and the echoes of his voice linger in my memories. His absence will undoubtedly be felt by many. I can still vividly recall the heartfelt speech he delivered at my wedding—a moment etched forever in my heart.

We will miss him so much.  Our hearts go out to you in your time of sorrow.  Take Care!

Love,

Tony & Rita

Mrs. Chiang and Jean, Vaughn and Keira, we are so sorry for your loss.  May the support from each other and your extended family and friends provide you with some relief during this very difficult time.  The fond memories of Mr. Chiang will keep him forever present.
We all know the pain of losing someone we love. especially someone like Charlie, who was always cheerful, kind, social energetic, always had something nice to say; and had a life of the party. Sometimes words cannot express what is in our hearts, but we will surely miss him. Emily and I would like to offer our sincere condolences to the Chiang family.
