Charles's obituary
Born March 29, 1931, in the Bronx, to Charles and Anna Chesebro. He married the love of his life, Gloria Kaler, on November 29, 1954. Charles is a Seton Hall graduate, served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 through 1955. Charlie worked for the A&P in several Long Island locations until his retirement in 1995.
Charles is survived by his wife, Gloria K. Chesebro, his children: Lorraine Jenkins, Marlyne Weygand, Dianne Hurst, Charles Chesebro Jr. and Nancy Schatz, his grandchildren: Vanessa Jenkins, Lisa Jenkins, Mitchell Weygand, Matthew Weygand, Joshua Quagliato, Erin Quagliato, Hannah Chesebro, Layne Miller and Amelia Chesebro.
Charles was preceded in death by his sister Edna Zurl.
As per his request, Charles was cremated. Upon the passing of his wife, their ashes will be scattered together.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the DAV Disabled American Veterans Fund or Boys Town would be appreciated.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
