Charlene's obituary

Charlene Watosn Redding was born to Tommy Lee & Caldonia "Cal" Watson on June 24th,

1960. Of their thirteen children, Charlene was the sixth child

and fifth daughter.

She attended Coweta County School System, where she

graduated with the Class of 1978. On January 6th, 1979,

Charlene was joined in holy matrimony to the love of her life,

Mr. Benjamin Harvey Redding.

She started her career with The Fayette County Board of

Education doing what she loved best: cooking. After

relocating back to Coweta County, she began work at

Southern Mill (Tencate).

In 2003, Charlene finally found her passion and purpose in

life working as a Certified Nurse Assistant with Piedmont

Fayette Hospital. While working at Piedmont she graduated

from the Senoia Citizen Police Academy. After graduating,

she began a new endeavor with the Clayton County Sheriff

Department.

However, the love and passion to serve people led her back

to working as a CNA and Concierge with Hearts Senior Living

until her health failed.

She couldn't stand for one string of her hair to be out of place!

giving God praises. She joined the Sasser Grove Baptist Church at an

early age. She worked diligently with the church in many positions
