Charlene Carter-Lacefield was born May 13, 1943, to Mr. and Mrs. Charley (Doris) Carter in Gary, Indiana. She was the second of seven children born to their union.
Charlene was raised on 2685 Van Burren Street in Gary, Indiana. She attended Douglas Elementary and Roosevelt High School, graduating from Gary Roosevelt in 1961. She was a cheerleader for both schools, and a determined member of the Future Business Leaders of America. She attended Business …
