Charlene's obituary
Charlene Bloom, 78, of Tampa, Florida passed away peacefully February 9, 2022. She was born in Waltham, Massachusetts to Charles and Marguerite Krauser, the second of three daughters. She grew up in Williamsport, Pennsylvania and graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic School in 1962. Shortly after graduation, Charlene moved to her favorite city, New York, for a while until she became a wife and mother and set up roots in her hometown of Williamsport, PA.
She lived there until she moved to Tampa, Florida in 1972 where she started her career at the University of South Florida and retired after 30 years. Charlene will be remembered for her caring and outgoing personality as well as her great sense of humor. She was a very loving, supportive grandmother to the loves of her life, Jordan and Dyllon.
Her parents, Charles and Marguerite Krauser; her grandson, Jordan Harris; her sister, Jeanne Nivens; her nephew, Jeff Nivens and great nephew, Jeremy Wheeler, precede her in death. She is survived by her sister, Suzanne Smith; children, Scott (Diane) Bloom and Kimberly Harris; her grandson, Dyllon Harris, her nieces and nephews and many friends.
