In life, Char adored animals. Besides being with her husband and son, she was happiest when she had the love of an animal companion. Cat, dog, young, old - it didn't matter, Char was happy to welcome them into her heart and her home.
With this in mind, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Best Friends Animal Society. Money donated will help further their mission of leaving no animal without a home, to end killing in shelters for good, and to create a better world by showing kindness to animals.
If Char could've, she would have given a home to every animal that needed one. As we see it, this is the next best thing. Contribute to Best Friends Animal Society

Donations are used to make the biggest impact in ending the killing in America's shelters. This includes our major no-kill initiatives, funding our lifesaving centers, and grants to our Network Partner organizations.

$100 helps provide six weeks of formula for an orphaned newborn puppy.
