It is with great sadness that the Li family announces the death of Changyu Li, who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 36 on September 25, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with his beloved wife, Qiong, at his side. Changyu was born on October 25, 1984 in Nanning, Guangxi Province to his parents Dr. Lequn Li and Dr. Hang Li. In 2003, Changyu attended the Medical College of Nanchang University where he met the love of his life, Qiong Chen and tied the knot with her in 2009.  In 2011, Changyu and Qiong, upon completion of their undergraduate studies, moved to the United States to pursue their graduate degrees and settled in New Jersey. Over the 16 years they’ve shared their lives together, Changyu and Qiong stayed deeply in love.

黎昌宇先生于2021年9月25日因病在罗伯伍德强生医院逝世, 享年36岁。昌宇于1984年10月25日出生在广西南宁一个医生家庭。子承父业，2003年高中毕业后昌宇考取了南昌大学医学院，在那里遇上了他的人生挚爱也是同班同学-陈琼女士，并与她于2009年结为连理。2011年，这对伉俪在完成本科学业后，一起赴美攻读研究生学位并扎根新泽西。从恋爱到成家立业结婚生子，16载的光阴温馨而融洽，情比弥坚。

Changyu was a good father, a good husband, and a good son. Changyu was a loving and caring man, who would do anything for his family. If you had seen him playing with the kids, you would have known that he was the kind of father who taught kids by showing them how to appreciate life and not just exist in it. To his wife Qiong, Changyu was humorous, compassionate, and full of surprises, a perfect match for her temperament. To his parents, Changyu was the best son who always knew the strength in being gentle. Changyu held strong beliefs in his faith, an admirable trait that we all respect. Changyu never quit in the face of challenges. Even when things didn’t go his way, Changyu would never complain, but would embrace the disappointment and carry on.

昌宇是世人眼中的好爸爸，好老公，好儿子。他温柔体贴，善解人意，为了爱人的事业和孩子的生活任劳任怨，无私奉献。他对他的孩子们尤其有爱心，言传身教，身体力行。对于妻子来说，他是一个热爱生活，懂得情调，随和大方的绅士。他的幽默风趣与她的严谨沉稳正好形成完美的互补。对于父母来说，昌宇知孝行，懂礼仪，无微不至，冬暖夏清。熟悉昌宇的人都敬佩他是一个极有毅力的人，只要他愿意的事，他总是能坚持到最后。同时，昌宇也是一个非常豁达的人。 即使生活上有不顺，他也从不怨天尤人。

Changyu lived a short yet full life. He loved books and games, he was a big fan of the Argentina soccer team, he was obsessed with horology and cars, he enjoyed the excitement of skiing in mountains...... Looking back at Changyu’s life, he never followed the crowd, or rushed for success, or was blinded by vanity. Changyu was a man of wisdom and true to himself, as he had the courage to follow his heart and intuition in the pursuit of true happiness. This might sound easy, but it is not, as you will have to let go of your baggage and face your deepest fears and insecurities.  Changyu has been a great example to all of us.

昌宇一生虽短，但丰富多彩。他喜欢看书，喜欢电子游戏，喜欢阿根廷球队，喜欢钟表，喜欢汽车，喜欢滑雪….回想起来，昌宇也是非常幸福的，虽然他并没有世俗意义上的功成名就，但是他一直都在做他自己觉得开心的事。他不随波逐流，不急功近利，不贪慕虚荣，他对于生活给予的永远充满感激。他是忠于自己的有大智慧的人。也许这些话听起来容易，但实际做到的人并不多，需要直面深渊的勇气。昌宇给我们做出了榜样。

Changyu was the best father, best husband, and best son to his family. Though he was only in this world for a short time, Changyu will be remembered every day by his family and friends. As the fallen leaves return to their roots, Changyu’s ashes will return to his home in China.

昌宇是一个平凡的爸爸，老公和儿子，但他也是家人心中最好的爸爸，老公和儿子。他带给世人的陪伴，虽然短暂，但是我们会一直铭记直到永远。昌宇的心愿是落叶归根，他的家人如今替他完成这个心愿。
