Chad's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Chad Mitchell Davis of Merkel, Texas. A beloved husband, father, and brother, who passed away on June 28, 2025. He was 50 years old. Chad was born in Abilene, Texas to Bill and Patricia Davis on October 7, 1974. He met his wife Heather Davis in Abilene and they married on June 1, 1996.

Together with his son, he owned and operated a trucking business, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Above all else, Chad loved his family, especially his wife, Heather, whom he adored. His daughters fondest memories was him coaching her in softball, where he instilled in her a love for the game and the importance of teamwork.

He will be remembered as a good man who never met a stranger, who loved big, was always ready with a smile, a helping hand, and a kind word. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion that will be cherished by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Heather Davis, daughter Kaitlyn Davis, son Chase Davis and his fiancée Kaylee Philipp. He leaves behind many family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Patricia Davis.

A celebration of life will be held on July 11, 2025 at 2pm at the Lovely in Merkel, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to All Kind Animal Shelter or the 10k Club First Responder Organization.
