Chad's obituary

Chad Harris, age 38, of Riverside, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, December 10, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on July 6, 1986, to Lauri and Chad Harris.

Chad is survived by his two daughters, Alayna and Oliva Harris; his sister, Kristin; his brother, Micheal; his parents, Lauri and Chad; and his grandparents, Leslie and Elizabeth. His memory will live on through his aunts, Kelly, Tara, Sheri, and Carol; his uncle, Greg; and his cousins, Ashli, Darrell, Aimee, Alyssa, Samantha, Kara, Ruben, Christian, Jacob, Karlee, Savannah, Julius, Irie; his niece, Avery; and his nephew, Thomas.

Chad was raised in Riverside, California. He lived, went to school, built a family, and created a community in the same area where he was raised. He maintained most of his relationships with friends and family throughout his life and became a single father.

Chad held various professions over the years,  including construction worker, roofer, and warehouse worker. His most recent accomplishment was joining the International Operating Engineers and completing his certification as a crane operator in May 2024, which he was extremely proud of.

Throughout his life, Chad loved playing sports, whether it was baseball, community softball, football with family, dirt bike riding, or fat tire bike riding. More than playing sports, he loved watching them, with his favorite teams being the Raiders, Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, and USC.

Chad felt deeply, loved deeply, and worked hard. The joy, love, and excitement he brought into our lives with his radiant smile and unbounded laughter will be missed by many. Though his time with us was brief, the depth of love and happiness he shared will forever remain in our hearts. He will be missed more than he would ever know.

A Celebration of Life to honor Chad Harris will be held on January 11, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the American Legion Post #500, 9520 Mission Blvd, Riverside, CA 92509.

We'll honor him by wearing his favorite sports teams.
