Cecilia Negrete Reyes, aged 93, was called to her eternal rest on September 3, 2024, in Bakersfield, California. Born on July 8, 1931, in Los Angeles, California. Cecilia lived a life marked by devotion to her family and an unwavering spirit of generosity.

Cecilia was the loving wife of Henry G. Reyes for over four decades until his passing in 1997. She cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her wisdom and love left an indelible mark on each generation. Her family, including her late daughter Carol, who preceded her in death in 2008, remains a testament to her life's work of nurturing and guidance.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Vivian and Edward Navarro, Linda and Conrad Guevara, Lupe and the late Juan Guevara, Steve and Maria Reyes, Nancy and the late Camilo Apostol. Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Cecilia was a woman of profound moral strength, who instilled in her family the values of unity, humility, and the importance of being charitable. She believed wholeheartedly that the true treasures of life were found in the love shared between family and friends.

The family will be holding services to honor the memory of Cecilia. Hillcrest Memorial Park Mortuary is providing support to the Reyes family during this period of mourning. Cecilia's grace, kindness, and heart of gold will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

September 23, 2024 visitation will be held in the Hillcrest Chapel from 5 PM- 8 PM service will be held September 24 from 1 PM-2 PM.
