I am hoping I can finally write something here. It's been two years, and I'm honestly not sure I've even begun to grieve. Other than my wife Leslie (46 years next month), our heavenly Daddy used 23 years of close relationship with Cecilia to transform my life like nobody else before, and most likely for the rest of my life.Yes, I was her "boss" but not really -- we were in deep partnership, iron sharpening iron as we discovered the path forward. To explain will take FAR more than an online comment... in fact, there's multiple things that need to emerge in the months ahead, all hugely influenced by Cecilia:* One or more likely two books, real world experiences infused with Cecilia's depth, holiness, purity, and insights. Our pattern over the decades: she would poke, I would create a first draft, she'd edit/refine, and after a few rounds we had something newly born, an insight neither of us had seen before.* A manifesto about Spirit-Led Technology. This needs to be created soon! A new friend -- a well known theologian -- is in agreement w/ Cecilia and me. I need to listen to the Spirit and write; he'll help edit, then endorse. I am SO grateful Cecilia is alive and well, forever in heaven. I'm quite certain the Spirit can tell me what is needed, as he always has. :-DBut Cecilia was with me and my family for far more than "work." Our relationship was about as seamless as it could be, given the need to maintain appropriate separations, boundaries and spaces. On purpose Leslie and I stayed away from many of Cecilia's personal involvements, while at the same time, her #1 job in the background was supporting our marriage. This showed up in a myriad of ways. Some of the more visible things included "dating" Leslie's 80 year old dad at our daughter's wedding (relieving us from those responsibilities :-D ), and engaging w/ our daughters so well that she is still the tie-breaker in our will if T & K can't agree on something. Gotta fix that of course. Cecilia loved deeply and completely. And I served her as well as I was able.  One of my greatest privileges was to be one of the few guys this very private woman trusted in a variety of ways. I'm not sure other people will ever understand that... and that's ok.I suppose I had better stop before this becomes an even longer ramble. Cecile -- and Lola, Ate, Eileen, Nana, Alan, David, and the rest of your amaaazing family -- I love you all with all my heart, and always will.Pete

Sister Cecilia is always remembered for having a gentle and quiet spirit. She is a woman of God. She is always polite and appreciative. She thanked me every time at New Life Chinese Church when I translated the sermon into English. She is a prayer warrior and intercessor. She showed up so many times in Friday morning’s pray for nations prayer meeting in WPC prayer room. I truly enjoyed seeing her walking, praying, and flag dancing in the prayer room. Sister Cecilia is an intercessor for the city as well. She shared lots of insights on local elections. She will be forever missed.

May God continue to comfort and assure all of us who knew and treasured Cecilia as He already has done.   I loved every moment I ever spent with her.   She shared questions, hopes, visions, insights, sighs as well as tinkling laughter over less-than-perfect situations, the good news, and much prayer, but I don't recall ever hearing an unkind word about anyone from Cecilia's lips.   She had a sincere love for her family and friends and life and good food :-) , and especially for her Lord Whom she so desired  to "come away" with  - to spend time with, to please, and to serve in loving obedience .   I recall tiny things here and there - a braid, a piece of jewelry, or a garment - that I believe she wore for His pleasure alone, as a true bride of Christ.  I don't know anyone who so wanted to be with her Lord Jesus and to hear from Him.   Cecilia sought Him directly in Person and in the Word and expected to hear His Word through other believers also.    Bride, daughter, sister, herald, watchman.   Cecilia's unique and joyful relationships with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit exemplified and encourage us, too, to glorify God and to kiss the Son.

Beautiful tribute, thank you. I served on our church’s prayer team with Cecilia. I always loved standing with her to serve communion, pray for others, and pray for one another.  In the recent months she had wrapped my family in prayer for a move across country.  She prayed with such excitement, honor, and belief.  I feel and hear her prayers over us still. My heart aches to not get another joyful hug on this side of heaven. But I am thankful and happy for her to be with our Lord and Savior.

Cecilia was a true sister and caring and compassionate soul-friend.   Last fall I experienced some significant physical challenges.  When I was released from the hospital Cecilia actually beat me home with groceries that she knew I could eat and delicious chicken adobo 😋

I loved her heart for God, His Word, His world and humankind.

Our loss is trulyheaven’s gain.
