Cecil Partman

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cecil Partman on October 6, at the age of 83. He passed away peacefully in Slidell, Louisiana.
Cecil Partman was born on June 30 in Clifton, Louisiana to Tempie Lee and Myrtis Partman. He later moved to Franklinton, Louisiana where he graduated from Washington Parish High School. He later moved to Slidell and worked for the City of Slidell until his retirement.
Cecil was married to Pamela Howard for 14 years, and together they built a life filled with a host of family members and found an awesome love later in life. He was devoted to Pamela Partman.
Cecil also was a beloved sibling to brothers Cleon, Curtis, Thomas. And sisters Vernette Hicks, Selma Young and Myrtis Lee Survick. He shared a close bond with his siblings, and also Pamela’s living siblings. Brothers Carl, Kevin, Dale, Gary, Hyford Howard and Sister Cathy Howard. Cecil enjoyed Howard family cookouts He sat filled with joy at all the events
Cecil will be remembered for his gracious temperament, smiling face and kind demeanor. Cecil is also survived by his children John Micheal Cooper and Andre Partman. He touched the lives of many through his love for uplifting others and the simple joygained from walking.
During difficult times,Cecil found peace in the words of the Psalms:

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
Psalm 27:1
"The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?"
Cecil will be deeply missed by all who knew him .
A funeral service to celebrate Cecil ’s life will be held at Little Mount Zion Batist Church located at 2901 Lincoln Avenue in Slidell Louisiana. He will be laid to rest At Mt. Olivet Cemetary and Mausoleum located at4000 Norman Meyer Avenue in New Orleans, 70122
