Eat out and shop at Trader Joe's. :)
In response to "What did Ceci love to do?"
We took a day trip to Baton Rouge because Ceci had an appointment in Baton Rouge so I went with her. We had to do something fun so we went to Trader Joe's. She loved to go to Trader Joe's. And we had lunch at a little Cajun restaurant (can't remember the name) but it was good. We had a fun day.

I really enjoyed when we would eat out and just talking to Ceci on the phone too. I loved her passion for life. She could always make me laugh and feel better when I was down too.
In response to "What was the most fun you ever had with Ceci?"
Education and children. We spent so many hours talking about both subjects.

Fleur-de-lis remind me of Ceci too. She loved them and always wore a pair of Fleur-de-lis earrings.
In response to "What always reminds you of Ceci?"
Helping hands

In lieu of flowers

In lieu of flowers, consider a gift to Children's Defense Fund.
I met Ceci in 2011 at a Concerned Citizens for Good Government meeting and we have been friends ever since that first meeting.
In response to "How did you first meet Ceci?"
That I am on the right track in life. She was a great person who was very courageous and had strong beliefs and morals. She truly loved people and really did try to do her part to make this a better world for all people. I try to do the same.

Ceci would encourage me when I was down by reminding me that I was on the right track and to keep doing what I was doing and it always gave me strength to keep fighting for what I believed was right and just in the world.
In response to "What did you learn from Ceci?"

Just the way she spoke to people - soft and respectful. She never judged people by the way they looked or acted. In my humble opinion, I think this is one of the kindest and most loving things a person can do for others.
In response to "What act of kindness did you witness from Ceci?"
Before she and Frank moved away, Ceci had a few friends over and treated us to gumbo. It was delicious. We kept in touch through phone calls.
In response to "When was the last time you spent time with Ceci?"
When Ceci said something, she meant it. She really did live by the golden rule "treat others as you wish to be treated".

Ceci didn't back down easily from something that she truly believed in. That takes a lot of faith and courage to stand strong and tall for something that everyone else is telling you to let go of. NOT Ceci!! To me, that was one of her best qualities. I truly respected her for that.
In response to "What made Ceci different from most people you know?"
So sorry - she will be very much missed by many. We were classmates in elementary and middle school. We reconnected and she did a real good job of planning monthly luncheons so we could stay connected with each other even though she moved to Florida she still stayed in touch and set up the luncheons until COVID came along. Please let me know about final arrangements.
