Cecelia Vee (Smith) Ellis, born April 13, 1939 passed away October 27, 2022 at the age of 83 at the Cortland Guthrie Hospital. She was the widow of the late David P. Ellis who died in July of 2015.

After being painfully disowned by her two half brothers, she became the loving and beloved step-mom to David's five children, MarySue (Steven) Drake, Donna (Albert) Atkins, Mark (Tracy) Ellis, Ken Ellis, and Denise (Charles) Fuller; grandma to eight and great grandma to six.

"CC" always smiling and kind worked as a nurse's aide at Highgate and in Home Healthcare while living in Florida. CC did all she could do in the time our Lord gave her and is now in the loving arms of Jesus.

Calling hours will be held Thursday 4-5:45 pm with a memorial service 6 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045 with Pastor Dan Nichols of Grace Christian Fellowship Church officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the church community fund of Grace Christian Fellowship.
