Such sad news to digest. I met Cathie at Marymount college in Palos Verdes.
With her dark hair and twinkling blues eyes she was always so stylish. She loved to have fun and laugh which I think we did more of than studying
We graduated from Loyola Marymount and remained friends over the many years
There are no words to convey my condolences to her dear sister, Connie and her sons .
Until we meet again I will keep you in my heart

Nothing I could add would express who Cathy was better than Brian or Corey already have, so I'll just say how kind and thoughtful she always was; always thinking of others. In a world that now more than ever needs people to think of others, it is a little dimmer, but your light will live on in those you leave behind. May your memory be a blessing in the hearts of those who carry your kindness with them.

Wonderful mother and person. We always enjoyed knowing her.

Although we mourn her loss, we can find solace in the memories we cherish. Cathy's spirit will live on in our hearts. I spent a great deal of time at their house as teen. She was always welcoming to yet another sleepover, and she gave us kids the trust and space we needed to define who we were and developing into. I still smile thinking about Cathy's reactions to the modifications we made to the grocery list that were always on the fridge. I reflect on the courage and trust it took to allow us teens to take over the garage and driveway to build some ridiculous and fun haunted houses for the neighborhood. The warmth to share movie night with us by driving us to blockbusters to find the perfect VHS, then later always having the latest DVDs mailed in and waiting. I think of her legacy, my friend Brian, and I couldn't be happier to have such a lasting friendship. My condolences to you and the family. As she was always there for us, I'll always be here for you.
