Cathie's obituary
Cathie, as she was known by those who loved her, was a proud Chicagoan. She loved telling stories about her childhood during the 50s and 60s growing up in the Pulaski Park neighborhood. Cathie loved music, especially Smokey Robinson and The Temptations. She was always one of the first people to hit the dancefloor at a function and would make sure everyone was having a good time. Cathie was a loyal Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks fan. Memories of her emphatically watching the Bulls second three-peat will soon not be forgotten by her children, or any neighbor within a 4-block radius. Cathie was a good friend to many over the years, always ready to sit with them to chat over a pot of coffee or two. She loved telling jokes and always had advice to give. Cathie was exceptionally great with kids. She was a natural caregiver and was fiercely protective of any child that was under her care and has left a lasting impression on those whom she cared for. Cathie will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and loved ones, but her memory and presence will forever live on.
