Lu was very much a 'people person'. She cherished her friendships in Kulamanu, and always looked forward to her neighbor chats, whether it was while on her golf cart or her 3 wheeled alinker walker.
Because she loved cooking and getting together with friends, she looked forward to the neighborhood progressive dinners.

Lucille "Lu" Hlavenka gained her angel wings on July 16, 2022. Lu was 73 years old.

Born in Manhattan, Kansas, raised in Louisiana, Lu eventually made her way to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she met her husband of over 50 years, George Hlavenka. After relocating to Georgia, Lu pursued her long-held dream of running her own bed & breakfast until she retired and moved with her husband to Hawaii.
