One of the few and consequently last times I saw Cat was when she and her sis were about 8-9 years old. They stood side-by-side, dressed alike from head to toe , complete with little purses too, I believe. This was at the viewing for my mum, who would have been their great Aunt Carol.

I kept looking at these sweet creatures, wanting to hug them, they looked so out of place in a funeral parlor, but unable to really concentrate on anything but the sudden and profound loss I was experiencing at that moment.

I've thought of and prayed for them many times over the years, wondering how they have been, never expecting something like this to occur.

However, I know, as a believer in Jesus, since I was 21, that Our history isn't on or of this world and it never was. This is simply all we know for now. But we are citizens of a far greater place, where there is no loss or grief, pain or inhumanness. Where we were originally created and where we are supposed to go back home to. The catch? To know Jesus as our Savior and King. To understand that He actually died for the sins we commit daily. And to know how deeply we are loved by a Father, who created us all and has always wanted us, despite our lack of interest, our pride or our selfishness.

I hope Cat knew this as well. Because I really want to see her again soon.

And I'll bet most of you do as well.

I love you my family and Cat's friends. May God bless you each and give you HIs comfort, peace and wisdom.

Shosy
