Dear Phil and family, we at the Terraces were  so blessed to have Phil and Cathy as friends and neighbors. They organised the wonderful Tuesday music events which were a delight. Cathy will be greatly missed by all.  Jack and Wanda
Dear Mr. Walker and Family,

Please accept my condolences. I'm sorry for your loss. You and Mrs. Walker were a great example to all of us of a loving couple and you raised a beautiful family. I know Catherine will be missed by her many friends and her family. May the memories be a comfort to you as is your faith in the Lord.

Sincerely, Brenda M. Whitla-Pinto

New Year's Eve in Temecula with all four Crist siblings at one gathering! Aunt Cathy was always at the center of every family gathering! Watch for a special New Year's Eve kiss with her beloved Phil.  Long Live Love!💖
1961, Church of the Brethren, E Street, La Verne, CA, USA
Aunt Cathy was the center circle of many concentric circles of her family and friends.  She radiated joy, laughter, music, and love outward. She was the sister and best friend to my mother.  My mother looked forward to Cathy's weekly calls as a huge  highlight of her week.  Uncle Phil and Aunt Cathy were solid rocks for us kids during some very difficult times in our family.  They were always there for us in good times and bad.  Many fun camping trips together, fishing trips, and visits up to Coarsegold to see them and their pet deer!  A highlight was always family Christmas Carol sing-alongs around the piano with Cathy accompanying us all.  Cathy was the glue that kept us all "stuck together!"  Now we will continue to hear her laugh and her music ringing through.  It will keep us laughing and singing in chorus with her, even still.  You will be greatly missed Aunt Cathy.  Love to Phil, Lynne, Brenda, and Loren and their families.

Catherine was a dear friend of over 50 years. We raised our children together while attending the Church of the Brethren in Fresno. So many good memories of times together then and now. She was like a sister to me and my heart goes out to Phil and her children. She was a strong advocate of the joys of music. Watching her fingers fly over the piano keys was such a delight. I am so thankful for the time I was able to spend with her as a neighbor at the Terraces.

The Fresno musical community is heartbroken at losing our dear colleague and friend. We will never forget her---her many gifts, great heart, and unending service.  Anna Hamre
It is so hard to lose someone suddenly, unexpectedly; my condolences to Phil and the family. Cathy was a lovely person who always greeted her friends with a big smile and a positive attitude. Someone who seemed genuinely interested in and happy for others. A wonderful musician! She will be missed by all who knew her. Frank and I send our love.

I sang with Cathy for years in Community Chorus - we sat next to each other - and then in Coro Solare. She was so much fun to know! And what a musician! I will always treasure my wonderful memories of her.

Thanks so much for creating this memorial page. I knew Cathy through the MTAC as well as the AGO. She was always so encouraging of her fellow musicians/teachers. She will be missed!
I am deeply sorry to hear of Cathy's death. I was a teacher in the delta of Vietnam from 63-65 when we were evacuated. Over the years we exchanged greetings and sometimes were fortunate to see Phil and Cathy at International Voluntary Services reunions in Colorado or Minnesota. It was a joy to see one another. Cathy was a person who brought all her energies and presence to each gathering.
