On Monday, August 1st, 2022, Cassandra Nell Larimer, a loving, passionate, and fierce soul, passed away at the age of 32.

Known to many as Cassie, she was born May 8th, 1990, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Lorrine and Mark Larimer. While living in Raleigh, North Carolina, she received her BS in Psychology from NC State University, as well as her BS in Nursing from Duke University. Her nursing career carried her from Raleigh, North Carolina, to Rochester, Minnesota, and Tacoma, Washington.

At her core, Cassie was a creative soul. Between hooping, knitting & sewing, drawing, painting, and playing the ukulele, she pushed herself to create art and enrich the world around her. She loved to dance; this common thread through her life intertwining many friends that reveled in her joy. She loved to experience nature, and time spent in Asheville & Tacoma gave her the opportunity to be an avid mountain-biker. She frequently spoke of the cathartic release of pushing herself to conquer the trail. Cassie was accompanied throughout her adventures by her beloved cats.

Cassie is survived by her father, Mark Larimer, her mother, Lorrine Bauer Larimer, her brother, Troy Larimer, as well as her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and many cousins that loved her dearly.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 20th, 2022, 3:00pm, at Grace Community Church on Old Wake Forest Road. The family will be available at the church for visitation 30 minutes before & after the service. For those planning to attend, the family would like to honor Cassie's memory by asking everyone to wear bright and vibrant colors.
