Through the Humane Society in…
2022, Tacoma, WA, USA
Through the Humane Society in Tacoma WA, I foster pregnant cats... aid them in giving birth and motherhood, until their babies reach an adoptable age and weight. The nurse in Cassandra was fascinated by the birthing process and loved assisting, and the cat lover in her enjoyed all the kitten snuggles and antics. This is one of my favorite photos of her, holding O'Malley and Finnegan, born right around St Patrick's Day 2021. Cassandra is so missed and I hope she's finally at peace.

We saw Cassie last at Troy’s wedding. Β Cassie and I talked about her aspirations for the future as she was in her last year at Duke. Β She was in a good place for sure! Β 

Cassie was such a gifted artist ,…Hoping someone will post some of her drawings. Β She had many gifts and talents. Β I know she touched many people in her time as a nurse too.

Β Β She was Loved and she Will be Missed!πŸ’•

Lori (and family) - I'm so sorry for your loss and I pray for healing as you grieve. I feel like I knew Cassie through our friendship and talks about our families although the main interaction I had with her directly was when she sewed masks for us at the beginning of the pandemic. She was so meticulous about her design and efficacy and I got a sense of how dedicated and caring a person she was.

Learned something new! After sharing Cassies passing with our two sons, our older son Randall said Cassie use to come hang out with him and his friends in college (wolf village). So sorry for the loss of this beautiful and intelligent young woman (a real wizard at Rummikub). Condolences to her loving parents, Mark and Lori , who did everything possible to support her ( as well as the Larimer and Bauer families).

I am Loy Chipley's daughter, and had the pleasure of meeting Cassie when she lived in Asheville. She and I had the opportunity to go mountain biking together down in Brevard and Bent Creek. I really enjoyed her company. She was very kind to take me out and show me some new places, as I was brand new to biking. While I didn't know her well, I thought she was a wonderful person. Sending my love to her family.

As their babysitter, Cassie and Troy felt like my β€œkids” for a good part of my teenage years. One of my favorite memories was putting CD’s on in their living room- Troy would literally just run back and forth while Cassie and I would dance. At night, I’d always put Troy to bed first and cherish reading her books in her bed and snuggling. She was always such a sweet, very empathetic and deeply feeling person. It was an honor that she was at my wedding and I loved seeing the things that brought her joy through her social media posts. I will forever think of her when I see a β€œhooper”. Β  My deep condolences to her family...

This is a picture taken on the first day of school as Cassie was waiting for the bus in our driveway. She’s with Michael Braga, Kyle Meadows, Timmy Dillinger, and Cliff Gunderson. she would always come ready and eager to go to school! Such a sweet girl. She will be dearly missed.
