Cassandra's obituary
Cassandra Jean Mason was born on January 7th, 1981 in Boise, Idaho. She was a much desired and loved little girl, full of life and impishness. She was precocious, intelligent and curious to know all there was about the world. She was fun loving, loved to surprise people and full of love and laughter.
At the age of six her sister, Michelle was born. She loved her baby sister and helped her to learn all Cassandra could teach her. They enjoyed each other immensely.
At the age of twelve, Cassandra went to Idaho to live with her dad and stepmother. She returned to Oregon, a troubled youth, three years later.
Cassandra repeated her dad's decision to leave home at 17. Cassandra struggled for the rest of her life, trying to find where she belonged and fit in. She made friends easily, struggled to keep jobs, and a place to live, and eventually met the love of her life a few months prior to her passing. He provided her with a place to live - a home at last - a place for her precious cat, Otter, and a garden and kitchen. She loved to cook and now had a home and someone to love and cook for. A dream she never really acknowledged before. She called the garden her Fairy Land Garden. Their relationship blossomed and she blossomed with it. It is so sad their love could not last longer. She was the happiest I have ever seen her in her short, tumultuous life.
