Personal note from Cass's family

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for coming to this page and sharing our grief as we celebrate and remember our father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Casper Schichtle, Jr. He will forever remain the foundation of our big loving family, and we are heartbroken by his passing, yet also comforted knowing he is in heavenly reunion with his beloved wife, Linda Lee, his number one. And also with The Lord, who he dedicated his life to follow.

Visitors to this site are surely from many chapters of Cass’s life. We are eager for you to share in the comments a written remembrance or video or photo. We are willing to bet it will involve his signature good humor, sports, or perhaps a piece of sound advice he offered when needed. We are happy and comforted by these memories, because they are similar to those we are telling ourselves; how he protected us and provided for us and encouraged us to strive for greatness. And how we still feel his love of a one-line zinger, a perfectly thrown spiral, and a steak cooked extra well done. He was a man of integrity and accomplishment, who led many and prayed for even more. And we are convinced he remembers you and is honored you are a participant in commemorating his life.

We are grateful for the times you made him laugh, or challenged him, or made him braver or stronger, or prayed for him, or comforted him or listened to him. For the times you patted him on the back, or took in a game with him, cooked a meal for him, or told him an amazing story. Thank you for being a part of his life, in ways big and small.

We miss him. And like you, we love him.
Thank you for sharing with us.
Love,
The Schichtle Family
