My condolences to his family and friends. I met Casey through video games. I never knew his name until now, reading his obituary. I never even knew what he looked like. But hearing the news of his passing hit me harder than I thought it would. This is the guy that I would stay up playing with and talking to for HOURS during the week. So late that I would hear his kids wake up and ask him for some breakfast, ask him to watch tv, and even take breaks just so he could take them to school. Now reading about him, his family, and the kind life he led, makes me realize what kind of friend I had, even if it was only online. I wish I could talk to him one last time, but alas, this is part of life. Rest easy brother, it was an honor to have gamed with you.

We met across states lines thanks to video games. Our friendship was brief yet had the same strength than that of childhood friends. You were my Rambo on the battlefield your absence has rendering it unplayable for me. Your skills were so great it was a pleasure that you tolerated me as I played catch-up. I’ll miss saying “You’re playing like me over there” when the roles were switched. Now every I see Stallone specifically Rambo I think of you, and of course when I see Willis I can’t help but just know that we had the same friendship. Even superheros need their best back up and I was so honored you chose me to go along for the ride and sharing some laughs along the way. Til we meet again, Lone Wolf.
