>Cary lyda, 55, of Hickory, NC, passed away on February 11, 2025 after a battle with very aggressive cancer.

>Cary was born on [may 16,1969] to [Lentz lyda and Rita Lail lyda] in [Catawba]. After dropping out from [bunker hill high school] he landed his first job as a [forklift operator] for [meridian auto] for [8 years]. Then he had two sons Cary Allen lyda and Michael Lee lyda.


>Cary was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to his than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of [Cary Allen lyda], [Michael Lee lyda], and always tried his best to support them.


>Cary was also a passionate [football and cars lover] and could often be found with friends and family when  he wasn’t at home.


>Anyone who knew Cary knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Cary was predeceased by [Lentz lyda and Rita Lail lyda]. He is survived by [Lentz jr Lyda and Katherine Hedrick Lyda].


>The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to [Heritage Funeral Home]. There will be a [funeral service/memorial/celebration of life] on [feb.21 2025 from 2:00 to 3:00pm] at [Heritage Funeral Home valdese, North Carolina].
